Skinvive is a hyaluronic acid microdroplet injectable designed to improve skin smoothness and hydration rather than to add structural volume. It is a skin booster, not a traditional filler. In the lips and perioral area it is used to soften fine lines and improve the hydration and quality of the tissue itself, and some patients also see subtle softening of shape. If your goal is meaningful lip volume, lip filler is the better tool, and Dr. Bonato will tell you so.

Ultrasound-Guided Filler Injection
Dr. Bonato uses high-frequency ultrasound during filler treatment to visualize the blood vessels beneath the skin before product is placed. Facial vascular anatomy varies considerably between individuals — the textbook map is not always your map, and imaging shows where your vessels actually run rather than where they are expected to. The same imaging can locate previously placed filler, which matters if product ever needs to be dissolved precisely rather than broadly.
Ultrasound guidance does not eliminate the risk of vascular occlusion, and no technique does. It is one layer of preparation alongside slow injection, small volumes, appropriate depth, and hyaluronidase kept on site. Ultrasound is not yet routine in aesthetic practice, and it is included in every filler treatment here at no additional charge.
How Much Does Filler Dissolving Cost in Medford?
Dissolving hyaluronic acid filler starts at $300 per vial of Hylenex® (hyaluronidase), with ultrasound guidance included. How many vials you need depends on how much filler is present and how long it has been there, which is assessed at your free consultation.
Ultrasound matters more here than almost anywhere else: it lets Dr. Bonato locate the filler that is actually causing the problem so it can be targeted, rather than flooding the area and dissolving product you wanted to keep. Hyaluronidase only works on hyaluronic acid fillers — it cannot dissolve calcium hydroxylapatite, poly-L-lactic acid, or permanent fillers.
You do not need to have had your filler placed here. Many patients come to have work dissolved that was done somewhere else.
