How Much Does PLEXR Plus Plasma Cost in Medford?
PLEXR Plus pricing depends on which mode your treatment calls for. The Plasma Shower, a non-ablative treatment for overall skin quality, is $600. The sub-ablative "cat scratch" technique is $750. Ablative treatment, used for benign lesion removal and focal tightening, is $1,500 to $2,000 per session depending on the area.
Most patients need more than one session, and how many depends on the area and the degree of laxity. Dr. Bonato will assess whether you are a candidate for the non-surgical approach and quote your complete series cost at your free consultation. Results vary from person to person.

The Science of Plasma Energy
PLEXR Plus ionizes gas between its tip and the skin to create a small electrical arc. In ablative treatment, that energy produces controlled tissue injury at targeted points without a scalpel incision. Healing can involve tissue contraction and remodeling.
Small clinical studies have reported improvement in eyelid skin laxity and changes in collagen appearance. These findings do not establish that PLEXR is more precise than surgery, produces equivalent results, or avoids heat-related injury.

Topical anesthetic is used before treatment. You may still feel heat, stinging or discomfort; the sensation depends on the area and treatment intensity. We discuss comfort measures before starting.

Recovery depends on the treatment mode, intensity and area. Ablative treatment commonly produces swelling and small brown crusts. Allow approximately 5–10 days for initial visible healing, although redness or pigment changes can last longer. Lighter treatments may involve less recovery.
Do not pick or remove the crusts. Follow your individual written aftercare instructions, including sun protection and guidance on skincare and makeup.

Depending on the concern and your response, Dr. Bonato may recommend one to three sessions, six to eight weeks apart. Further treatment is considered after assessing healing and results. A particular degree of improvement is not guaranteed.

The duration of improvement varies with the treatment area, skin condition and ongoing aging. Published evidence does not establish a reliable two-to-three-year result for every treatment described here. We discuss realistic expectations and any maintenance plan at consultation.

Candidacy depends on your concern, skin type, pigment history, medical history and ability to follow aftercare. A history of melasma or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation requires particular consideration. Some concerns are better addressed with another treatment or surgical assessment.
