Injectables & Dermal Fillers
-
Wrinkle relaxers (like Dysport and Botox) temporarily relax the facial muscles that cause expression lines and wrinkles. Dermal fillers (like Restylane and Juvéderm) use hyaluronic acid to restore lost volume, plump lips, and smooth deeper facial folds and contours.
-
Your comfort is our top priority. For delicate areas like the lips, midface, and smile lines, we offer treatments utilizing a nerve block so that pain is significantly minimized during the procedure.
-
Traditional dermal fillers (like Restylane and Juvéderm) are made of hyaluronic acid and provide immediate volume to areas like the lips, cheeks, and nasolabial folds. Sculptra works differently; it is a biostimulator that works gradually over time to stimulate your body’s natural collagen production. It offers subtle, long-lasting facial rejuvenation and volume restoration.
-
Cellenis Derma PRP is a 100% natural, autologous filler created from your own blood. We process your blood to create a gel-like scaffolding mixed with Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP). This provides immediate natural volume while utilizing the regenerative growth factors of PRP to improve your skin's health and texture over time.
-
While both treatments are 100% natural and utilize your body's own blood to rejuvenate the skin, they serve different primary purposes:
Traditional PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma): This is the "liquid gold" extracted from your blood after it is spun in a centrifuge. It is packed with growth factors and is effective at stimulating collagen, improving skin texture, and accelerating cellular repair. We typically use it topically during microneedling (the "PRP Facial") or inject it directly into areas like the under-eyes or scalp for gradual rejuvenation and tissue repair.
Cellenis Derma PRP Gel Filler: This is an advanced, autologous dermal filler. To create this, we take a portion of your plasma and process it into a thicker, gel-like substance. We then mix this protein-rich gel back with your PRP. When injected, it provides immediate volume and natural scaffolding to plump the skin—just like a traditional hyaluronic acid filler—but with the added long-term benefit of releasing PRP growth factors into the tissue over time for continuous skin revitalization.
If your primary goal is to improve overall skin tone, texture, and elasticity, traditional PRP is an excellent choice. If you are looking to immediately restore lost facial volume while simultaneously improving the long-term health of your skin, the Derma PRP Gel Filler is the perfect all-in-one solution.
-
The longevity of your results depends on the type of injectable used, the area treated, and your body’s unique metabolism. Here is a general timeline of what you can expect from our different treatments:
Neuromodulators (Dysport): These wrinkle-relaxing treatments typically last between 3 to 4 months. We recommend scheduling regular maintenance appointments a few times a year to keep your results looking fresh and smooth.
Hyaluronic Acid Dermal Fillers (Restylane & Juvéderm): These fillers provide immediate volume and generally last anywhere from 6 to 18 months. High-movement areas like the lips tend to metabolize filler a bit faster (usually around 6 to 12 months), while filler placed deeper in the midface, cheeks, or marionette lines can last up to a year or more.
Biostimulators (Sculptra): Because Sculptra works gradually to stimulate your body's own collagen production, the results are highly durable. Once your series of treatments is complete, the rejuvenating effects can last up to 2 years or more.
Autologous Fillers (Cellenis Derma PRP): This natural gel filler provides immediate volume while continuously working to improve skin texture and tone over time. Because it utilizes your own tissue regeneration, the structural and anti-aging benefits are long-lasting, though individual timelines vary.
During your consultation, Dr. Bonato will discuss exactly what to expect for your specific treatment plan and how to best maintain your results over time.
Skin Rejuvenation
(Microneedling, Peels & Lesion Removal)
-
The VI Peel is a medical-grade, medium-depth peel that penetrates deeper into the skin than traditional esthetician peels. It uses a proprietary blend of ingredients to treat hyperpigmentation, acne scars, fine lines, and sun damage. It involves minimal downtime and includes a specialized at-home care kit to soothe and protect your skin while maximizing your results.
-
Microneedling works by creating controlled micro-injuries that prompt your skin's own collagen response. Adding either exosomes or platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is an optional enhancement intended to support that healing process.
The traditional PRP Facial applies growth factors concentrated from your own blood into the micro-channels created during treatment. Exosomes are tiny cell-signaling vesicles that carry growth factors and peptides; they are applied topically and require no blood draw. They are not stem cells.
Both are used to support the skin's renewal after microneedling rather than as treatments on their own. Exosome therapy is an emerging area, so we offer it under physician guidance as part of a personalized plan. Dr. Bonato will help you decide whether either enhancement makes sense for your skin and your goals. -
Both platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and exosomes are used alongside microneedling to support the skin's healing and collagen response. They work differently:
Exosomes: Tiny cell-signaling vesicles that carry growth factors and peptides. They are lab-derived or plant-based, are applied topically, and require no blood draw. They are not stem cells. Exosome therapy is an emerging area with a developing evidence base, which is why we use it under physician guidance as part of a personalized plan rather than as a standalone promise.
Neither option is right for everyone, and results vary. During your consultation, Dr. Bonato will review your skin, your goals, and your medical history, and help you decide whether PRP, exosomes, or microneedling alone is the better fit. -
PLEXR Plus is a plasma device used at Bonato MD Aesthetics to remove benign, non-vascular skin lesions. Dr. Bonato treats skin tags (acrochordons), sebaceous hyperplasia, and milia on the face, neck, chest, back, and body. The device works by sublimation — a fine plasma arc converts the targeted surface tissue directly from solid to vapour, without cutting or bleeding — and for lesion removal it is used within its FDA 510(k) clearance (K210693). Most lesions are addressed in a single visit. Vascular lesions are not treated at this practice: cherry angiomas, spider veins, and telangiectasias require a different technology, and Dr. Bonato will refer you. Pigmented lesions are never treated on appearance alone — plasma leaves no tissue for pathology, so a mole must have been biopsied and confirmed benign beforehand, and removal is cosmetic only. Sebaceous hyperplasia can recur if the underlying gland is not fully destroyed. You can read more about which lesions we treat, how the procedure works, and what healing looks like on our lesion removal page.
Hair Restoration
-
PRP Hair Restoration utilizes the healing properties of your own blood to stimulate hair follicles and promote thicker, fuller hair growth. Growth factors are injected directly into the scalp to strengthen existing hair. Please note: This treatment requires active hair follicles to work and is not effective for complete baldness. PRP is one part of a broader program that begins with a digital scalp analysis — see our full hair restoration approach.
-
The Ultimate Hair Restoration Package is a 9-month, physician-led protocol built around measurement rather than guesswork. It begins with a digital scalp analysis that quantifies hair density, follicle counts, and shaft thickness, plus lab work when clinically indicated. Treatment includes four non-ablative laser sessions, four microneedling treatments with topical exosomes, and three PRP injection sessions, along with a 9 month supply of take-home serum, shampoo, and conditioner. Where appropriate, Dr. Bonato also manages prescription therapy such as finasteride or minoxidil as part of the same plan — so medical and regenerative options are coordinated rather than pursued separately. PRP requires active follicles and is not effective for areas that are completely bald. Because every scalp responds differently, your protocol is guided by repeat imaging rather than a fixed schedule, and results vary from person to person. Learn how each element of the program works, and how we measure your response over time, on our hair restoration page.
Medical Weight Loss
-
At Bonato MD Aesthetics, we exclusively prescribe brand-name Zepbound (tirzepatide), which mimics the natural GLP-1 hormone to regulate appetite and improve insulin sensitivity. Your journey begins with a comprehensive consultation and lab evaluation with Dr. Bonato. Once your customized plan is established, you will come in for monthly appointments where you are medically assessed and your dosage may be adjusted. Full details, including how we handle brand-name versus compounded medication, are on our medical weight loss page.
-
While individual results vary, many patients begin to notice a reduction in appetite and cravings within the first few weeks. Visible weight loss typically becomes apparent within the first 4 to 8 weeks of consistent GLP-1 treatment.
NOUVADerm Thulium Laser
-
Our NOUVADerm laser treatments effectively target fine lines, wrinkles, uneven skin tone, sun damage, and texture irregularities, resulting in a smoother, clearer, and more youthful complexion.
-
While highly popular for facial rejuvenation, we also treat the neck and chest (décolletage) to ensure a smooth, youthful, and cohesive appearance. The NOUVADerm laser is also effective for body treatments, specifically targeting the hands, arms, and any other areas showing signs of skin laxity and sun damage. Additionally, we use specialized non-ablative laser protocols to stimulate the scalp as part of our physician-led hair restoration program.
-
Laser treatments require medical precision. During your consultation, Dr. Bonato will conduct a detailed skin analysis to ensure the treatment is safe and effective for your specific skin type. We will also provide you with essential pre-treatment products to properly prepare your skin and maximize your results.
-
Recovery time can vary depending on the intensity of your customized treatment plan. Many patients experience mild redness or swelling—similar to a sunburn—for a few days following the procedure. During your consultation, we will outline exactly what to expect and provide clear post-treatment care instructions.
-
While you will likely notice a brighter, smoother complexion after just one session, achieving optimal results for deeper concerns—such as stubborn sun damage, hyperpigmentation, or fine lines—typically requires a series of treatments. We will design a treatment timeline tailored perfectly to your aesthetic goals.
