Regenerate. Brighten. Restore Your Natural Glow.
At Bonato MD Aesthetics in Medford, Oregon, Alexander Bonato, MD, personally performs PRP and PRFM facial treatments using preparations made from your own blood.
Dr. Bonato uses the Cellenis PRP system. When preparing PRFM, he activates the PRP with calcium chloride to begin fibrin-matrix formation. Treatment is selected following an assessment of your skin, medical history, and goals.
These treatments aim to improve skin quality gradually. The amount of improvement varies, and a consultation helps determine whether PRP, PRFM, or another approach best fits your concerns.

What Are PRP and PRFM?
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is prepared by drawing a small blood sample and processing it to concentrate platelets within the plasma. Platelets contain growth factors involved in tissue repair.
At Bonato MD Aesthetics, PRP is prepared using Cellenis. For platelet-rich fibrin matrix (PRFM), Dr. Bonato adds calcium chloride, initiating the process that forms a fibrin network.
PRP and activated PRP differ in preparation and handling. A fibrin matrix does not automatically mean a better result or a longer-lasting outcome. Dr. Bonato selects the preparation and treatment approach for your individual circumstances.

Each treatment is fully personalized, allowing Dr. Bonato to address your unique areas of concern for a naturally revitalized appearance.
How Much Does PRP Cost in Medford?
PRP injections start at $450. PRP applied topically during microneedling is priced with that treatment at $550.
PRP uses growth factors concentrated from your own blood, so there is no product to price by the syringe — what you are paying for is the draw, the processing, and physician-performed placement. Your free consultation determines which approach fits what you are treating and how many sessions to plan for. Results build gradually over a series rather than appearing immediately.

Potential Benefits of PRP / PRFM.
May improve selected aspects of skin quality, including texture and elasticity
May soften the appearance of fine lines
Uses a platelet preparation derived from your own blood
Offers an option for patients whose goals and medical history make treatment appropriate
Evidence for facial rejuvenation is developing, and results differ between patients and preparation methods. PRP and PRFM do not reliably correct every cause of dark circles, hollowing, or facial aging.
It can be used in conjunction with microneedling to help rejuvenate skin.

Any improvement develops gradually over the weeks and months after treatment. The timing and degree of response vary. Early swelling can temporarily change the appearance of a treated area and should not be mistaken for the final result.
Dr. Bonato may recommend a series, with the number and spacing of sessions selected following your assessment.
-
It may be appropriate for selected patients, but an assessment is essential. Dark circles, fine lines, puffiness, and hollowing can have different causes, and PRP or PRFM may not address the main cause of your concern.
Using your own blood does not eliminate treatment risks. Dr. Bonato will discuss expected benefits, limitations, alternatives, and the risks of injections in this area.
